From the age of six, he was riding show ponies at the highest level, winning Champion Boy Rider at multiple royal shows and qualifying his own horses for the Equestrian Australia Nationals and Grand Nationals. His knack for preparing horses through equestrian training and leading them to championship ribbons is matched only by his natural ability as a showhorse harness driver—a skill he’s built through years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for the sport.
But if you ask Sabastian where his heart truly lies, he’ll tell you it’s with thoroughbred racehorses. For the past year, he’s been a regular at Clifford Park Racetrack, where you’ll find him before dawn, quietly working horses as the sun rises. There’s a look of pure focus on his face as he feels the power and rhythm of the thoroughbreds beneath him, guiding them through their paces with a light touch and a steady hand.
